Horizon combines selected material details with proven functionality. The Trifilon® Switch composite material is used for the handle, slider and cap. The umbrella canopy is made from 100% recycled polyester (rPET). A five-year manufacturer’s warranty in accordance with the applicable warranty terms and the Knirps repair service complement the product concept. Whether a repair is possible depends on the model, the type of damage and the availability of the required spare parts.

Trifilon® Switch, the material used for the plastic components, is made from organic raw materials. It is a biocomposite that is 90% free from fossil raw materials, recyclable and industrially compostable. Under certified industrial composting conditions, the material fully decomposes in less than 40 days.*

*Compostability applies exclusively under industrial conditions; not suitable for home composting.

The Horizon uses the Trifilon® Switch composite for the handle, runner and cap. Its characteristic material texture gives these components a distinctive appearance. The folding umbrella therefore combines proven functionality with a deliberately selected material solution.

The canopy cover contains recycled polyester (rPET); the specific recycled content is stated in the product details.
