Shipping information

In the Knirps online store, different shipping costs may apply for the shipping of items. The exact costs are displayed as a separate item in the shopping cart or in the overview of your order before you complete the purchase process.

1. Shipping costs

1.1. Parcel service

From an order value of € 29 (gross, incl. taxes), we do not charge a flat rate for shipping within Germany and to Austria for goods that can be sent by parcel service (under 35 kg). Delivery is made by parcel service (DPD in Austria or GLS in Germany). ATTENTION: Delivery to a Packstation is NOT possible for garden items.

If you order more than one item and these are sent by parcel service, your order may be sent in several parcels at different times so that the order can be delivered as quickly as possible. However, you will always receive the remaining items within the next few days.

For delivery to the following countries, we charge a flat-rate delivery fee of €9.90. Delivery to these countries is also free of charge for orders with a shopping basket value of €69.00 or more:

  • Finland
  • France
  • Italy (except Livigno)
  • Croatia
  • Luxembourg
  • Netherlands
  • Poland
  • Portugal (excl. Madeira and Azores)

1.2. Shipping - For all articles from 35 kg

(e.g. concrete or granite bases and cantilever umbrellas)

Carrier deliveries are only offered to the following countries:

 

  • Germany (excluding the North Sea and Baltic Sea islands)
  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • The Netherlands
  • Luxembourg
  • Italy
  • France

The minimum order value for free shipping to Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg (for all items weighing more than 35 kg or if it is a cantilever umbrella) is € 289.00. The shipping costs for a forwarding agent delivery are €49.90.

The respective items are labelled accordingly on the product page. In order to ensure a smooth delivery, we require a telephone number where you can be reached during the day so that the shipping company can coordinate the delivery date with you in the best possible way (delivery times: 8:00 to 16:00; Monday to Friday). After receiving the goods, check that they are complete and undamaged and only then sign the shipping documents. The carrier can tell you exactly how many parcels we have dispatched. Check the number!

Forwarding shipments are generally only delivered to the curbside.

Please note that the date agreed between you and the shipping company is binding.

ATTENTION: if the goods are not accepted on the agreed date and/or a second delivery is necessary as a result, the customer will incur additional costs of €50. You shall bear the direct costs of the return shipment (e.g: Refusal to accept, not liked, if the order is cancelled and the forwarding agent has already received the goods from us) of forwarding goods in the amount of €39.90. Please be sure to repack the goods so that they are suitable for transport (in a box, on a pallet), otherwise the shipping company will not be able to transport the items.

 

2. General shipping information

When will my order be delivered?

The majority of our items are stock items. These are packaged accordingly or are dispatched to you in a cardboard box. Information on general delivery times can be found on the respective product detail page and in the shopping basket.

If, contrary to expectations, your product cannot be ordered, this information will be displayed accordingly and you can be informed by e-mail. When umbrellas and bases weighing over 35 kg are delivered, you will be called by the carrier to arrange an appointment for delivery as soon as possible. This appointment is binding!

 

Can I also specify a different delivery address for my order?

We are also happy to send your goods to a different delivery address. For example, you can have your new doppler umbrella delivered directly to your office or surprise someone with it. When placing your order, simply enter the address where you would like your parcel to be delivered.

 

How can I track the delivery of my parcel?

Depending on the shipping service provider, you can track your parcel delivery with a tracking number. This will be sent to you automatically by e-mail if you have consented to your e-mail address being passed on to the shipping service provider. (Links to the shipping service providers can be found above) Of course, we can also inform you about the status of your delivery on request. Please tell us your order number and your surname.

 

How often will an attempt be made to deliver my parcel?

Depending on the country or shipping service provider to which your parcel is sent, only one delivery attempt is usually made. If the driver is unable to find you, they will try to deliver the parcel to an alternative location (e.g. a neighbour), after which the parcel will be left for you at the nearest Parcel Shop. You will receive notification of this and have between 5-7 days to collect the parcel yourself. If you do not receive a notification, please contact us directly and we will let you know the status of your parcel.

 

How do I return my delivery or parts of it?

You don't like your sunshade after all, or you only want to return part of the delivered goods - then contact us by phone or email so that we can send you the free return label for the parcel service if this is missing. As soon as the returns department has notified us of the returned goods, any payments already made will be refunded immediately. You are responsible for the direct costs of the return (e.g. refusal to accept Refusal of acceptance, not liked, if the order is cancelled and the forwarding agent has already received the goods from us) of forwarding goods in the amount of € 45.00. Please pack the goods so that they are suitable for transport (in a cardboard box, on a pallet), otherwise the shipping company will not be able to take the items with them. Please note that it is ALWAYS necessary to provide a telephone number for shipping with a forwarding agent, as the forwarding agent will contact you in advance for the delivery.
